SUPPORTIVE LIVING
Supportive Living assists individuals
who successfully complete a program or a halfway house program
such as Weston's Manor,
and are in need of additional services to support their recovery.
The Council assists in placing the
individuals into apartments in the area. They are also monitored
by Council staff to ensure a smooth transition back into independent
living and to ensure their stability in recovery. While residing
in a Supportive Living apartment setting, participants focus their
plans for recovery with additional emphasis on their educational
and vocational goals. Through intensive case management and addiction
recovery support, the program staff seeks to empower supportive
living residents to nurture their recovery, evaluate, develop,
and maintain systems of support, search for and acquire permanent
housing, and prepare them for living in permanent housing.
